Our Purpose

We are Career Coaches, helping people and organisations to connect — or disconnect — more successfully.

We Offer

We are career experts, coaching people who are in a career transition. That can involve the conventional career path involving increasing seniority and responsibility as well as movement from one organisation to another, to a portfolio career, to self-employment, to getting back into the job market after redundancy. We help anyone who needs to make career related decisions and feels "stuck".

We work with HR departments and hiring managers by offering in-house career coaching services. Providing structured career development meetings outside the appraisal process is proven to improve performance, as well as creating sustained behaviour change. We help new employees add value more quickly by giving them specialist "on-boarding" coaching, to smooth their transition into their new job or organisation.

We offer personalised outplacement programmes, ensuring employees leave the organisation in a positive, and well-supported way after redundancy. We also offer local outplacement, CV writing and job search workshops through London and the rest of the UK.

"Thank you so much for our sessions – you have really helped me to clarify my thinking about where I want to go next; have made it easier for me to express what I want to do and have left me with some food for thought that will help me take forward a number of strands of the work I'm developing." — Dr Joanne Wade

"When we made some staff redundant earlier this year, it was important to us that they were properly prepared for the job market and that we continued to support them in every way we could. We used Second Careers as our outplacement provider because we wanted a cost-effective, personalised and practical service. They helped our employees with their CV writing, competency-based interview techniques and digitial recruitment processes and helped build up their confidence too. All their objectives were achieved, and quicker than expected." — Emma Jones, Managing Director, Impetus Consulting
