What is the value that you would put on having a purposeful working life?
Some private client options are listed below. We also offer group workshops, as well as bespoke coaching packages for organisations. Please contact us to discuss the best programme for you.
Coaching Sessions
Coaching Sessions
Coaching is a relatively short-term, "solution-focused" process, usually taking between four and eight sessions to achieve your objectives. We can hold these in a location convenient to you or on the telephone. These are our charges to private clients:
Introductory conversation (face-to-face or on telephone) — free of charge, about half an hour.
Initial session (up to two hours) — £350
Further sessions (up to 1.5 hours) — £250
Coaching programmes: Eight sessions at intervals to suit you plus telephone and email access in between — £2,000.
Career Crunch session: Option for job-seekers needing objective advice and feedback on their CVs, LinkedIn profile, job applications, marketing techniques, elevator pitch, recruiter relationships and/or interview techniques in one intensive meeting. Up to three hours plus email and telephone support afterwards for CV edits etc — £600.
Please note that we work within the ethical guidelines of the Association for Coaching and our work is guaranteed. Room charges may also apply.
Outplacement Programme
Our charge for a full, personalised outplacement programme is £3,000. This can include OPQ, MBTI or CPI psychometric testing and feedback.
This programme commits us to a collaborative relationship with you for four months, including up to fortnightly 1:1 sessions with unlimited telephone and email support. The aim is to save you fruitless weeks of job-searching by helping you: 1) to decide upon a crystal-career career objective; and (2) to get out there and achieve it, within your desired timescale. We will work closely with you to do some or all of the following, as necessary:
- Examine your career to date (achievements, good times/bad times, patterns and themes).
- Identify your self-concept (beliefs, values, skills, interests, behaviours, abilities and personality traits).
- Help you decide upon a career goal that fulfils that identity and resolves your current issues.
- Help you to determine a planned route to achieve that goal.
- Help you to implement that plan – including career management techniques such as networking, company research, information gathering, CV writing, interview preparation, pre-interview briefing and debriefing, negotiating your new terms of employment.
- Help you to become social media savvy, using tools such as Linked-In for job hunting and business networking purposes.
- Help you to focus on a marketable skill-set to differentiate yourself from other job-seekers.
- Help you to research your chosen career path.
- Advise you on job boards, recruiters, advertising media and other contemporary job-searching methods.
- Use our own skills and experience to advise you on career paths such as setting up your own business, getting started as an Interim Consultant or Contractor, or retirement.
- Use our coaching expertise to give you feedback on development areas and calling in our Associates to give you extra support if needed (on areas like confidence in public speaking, retirement planning or writing a business plan).*
- Manage the challenges along the way, including negotiating offers and defining the objectives of your new role.
We are a small business and therefore can offer an individual programme, tailored to the support you need.
*Please note that there is an additional charge if you need specialist support from our Associates.
Senior Executive Intensive Outplacement Programme
This programme includes all the elements of our outplacement programme but is designed for Board level individuals who don’t have the time to manage their marketing and need a hands-on approach to support them. You are allocated an extra 10 hours of Zena’s time per month to work exclusively on your job search. It is ideal for senior executives who are targeting the unadvertised job market and need specialist time, creativity, discretion, connections and expertise to identify the right opportunities. These will be Executive or Non-Executive roles or a combination of the two.
Additional input involves:
- Preparation of your CV and a LinkedIn profile
- Strategic positioning of your personal brand into a personal marketing plan
- Identifying suitable roles/organisations for you and preparing applications
- Managing direct approaches
- Research into target companies
- Selected recruiter introductions
- Enhancing the individual’s network and experience to ensure a continuous career path is achieved
- Psychometric profiling if required
- On-boarding support for smooth transition into the new role
The cost is £7,100 for a six month programme and this should be allowed for as a tax deductible expense within a compromise agreement. To discuss if this investment is appropriate for you, please contact zena@second-careers.co.uk for an initial consultation.
"Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbour. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore.Dream. Discover."
Thank You
We are a small independent business and most of our clients come through recommendation. As a thank you, we give anyone who refers a client who works with us on one of our four month programmes a £50 John Lewis voucher.
